All Board members must:

1) Identify as a survivor of domestic abuse or stalking

2) Live in the United States

3) Be available on the second Wednesday of every month from 12-1:45 PM PT

4) Uphold FinAbility’s values of integrity, courage, and humility and approach the work with openness and curiosity

January 30: Applications for the Survivor Advisory Board open

February 14: Deadline to submit the application form (applications close at 11:59 PM PT)

February 18: Finalists are invited to interview. Applicants not moving forward will also be notified on this date

February 20 - March 6: Finalists interviews with Board Chairs and FinAbility CEO

March 11: Finalists are notified if they have been accepted to the Board

As a member of the FinAbility Survivor Advisory Board, you become part of a community of survivors leading national change in banking, nonprofit services, and the movement to end domestic violence.

Every month, you'll have the opportunity to inform strategy, shape programs, and raise awareness of solutions that empower survivors to build lasting financial stability.

You’ll also gain access to a supportive community that walks alongside you on your healing and financial journey.

- Serve a one-year term with the option to renew for additional terms
- Attend Board meetings on the second Wednesday of every month
- One to three hours of monthly ad hoc support, such as promoting awareness campaigns and providing feedback on new programs

We evaluate candidates based on the following criteria:
- Does candidate uphold FinAbility's values?
- Does candidate have strong communication skills?
- Does candidate provide a unique perspective and/or skills?
- Does candidate seem passionate about this opportunity?
