FinAbility has been named a 2026 grant recipient by the Foundation for Financial Planning (FFP), receiving the Alexandra Armstrong Innovation Grant to expand access to pro bono financial planning for survivors of domestic violence.
The announcement was made as part of FFP’s record-breaking $725,000 grant cycle, marking the organization’s 30th anniversary of advancing pro bono financial planning nationwide.
With this support, FinAbility will expand its program connecting survivors in Oregon with financial professionals who provide one-on-one financial mentorship. Through trauma-informed financial education and pro bono financial planning, survivors are able to address immediate financial concerns, rebuild confidence, and create long-term plans for independence free from abuse.
“We are deeply honored to be selected for the Alexandra Armstrong Innovation Grant,” said Stacy Sawin, Founder and CEO of FinAbility. “This partnership strengthens our ability to ensure survivors have access to high-quality financial guidance at one of the most pivotal moments in their lives.”
The Alexandra Armstrong Innovation Grant honors Alexandra Armstrong, CFP®, a founding supporter of FFP and longstanding advocate for expanding access to financial planning for individuals facing hardship.
